The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle malfunctions and/or performing maintenance as outlined on the repair order in accordance with factory and dealer standards.
Duties include:
Performing work as outlined on the repair order with accuracy and efficiency
Communicating with the Service Advisor and /or customers to obtain further clarification when necessary
Identifying and diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repairs within a specified field
Communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts
Clearly, legibly and accurately documenting all work performed
Safely road testing all vehicles
Attending factory sponsored training classes; keeping up to date with factory bulletins
Adhering to all safety policies and appropriately utilizing safety equipment
Understanding and following Federal, State and Local regulations pertaining to the use and disposal of hazardous materials
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
A Level Technician or Grandmaster Technician preferred
ASE Certified
General Mechanical Skills and the ability to perform the necessary duties
Knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to explain systems and repairs to others
Ability to diagnose vehicle problems and understand work orders
Must successfully pass a post offer motor vehicle record check, criminal background check and a drug screening
